Is Affiliate Marketing Saturated?

Is affiliate Marketing Saturated?

If affiliate marketing is too saturated now, then why not quit and give up.

Yes, I have heard this from many different affiliate marketers over the years, but there is one common theme that runs through them all, and that is, they are all new to the game.

Most newbies think this when getting started.

Remember, most of them are persuaded into thinking that they can earn a full-time living in no time with affiliate marketing.

They think that all they need to do is throw up a website, put content on it and then the money will start to flow.

You know, the old phrase “build it and they will come“?

Well, the reality is not far from the truth, but it goes more like, build it, and keep building until they come.

Trouble is, most newbies think that a couple of posts is going to suffice, but in reality it’s more like 400 posts.

When they realize that it is not as easy as they had thought then they get disheartened and eventually give up.

Now, I know you might be thinking, “man they must all be gullible” – right?

But, it’s really not their fault, but instead a very clever marketing strategy, designed to press all the right motivation buttons, if put in front of the right people.

The Newbie Trap

So the real problem with new affiliate marketers is that they tend to travel the same worn out path as all new affiliate marketers, and in variably, they all come to the same conclusion, and that is affiliate marketing is too saturated.

They have to compete in a marketplace that is dominated by old time affiliate marketers who have been through all of the ups and downs and figured it all out, so of course they’re not going to get a chance to compete with them.

So, if this is the case, then what does one do if they are new to the game and want to get a foot hold in this forever changing world?

They find less competitive sub niches and build their business there.

But wait, couldn’t the old time affiliate marketers grab those sub niches too and dominate them as well?

The answer is yes, but there are literally hundreds and thousands of these opportunities available, that they wouldn’t even touch in a decade.

Is Affiliate Marketing Hard?

I wouldn’t say that affiliate marketing is hard, but I would say that you do need to continuously build your business.

Often you won’t see any activity or money in the first three to six months, however, when you do, you’d be so glad you stuck at it.

Is Affiliate Marketing Profitable?

The simple answer is yes, affiliate marketing is still profitable, so long as you’re committed to putting in the work.
